Is anyone here interested in this year's FRINGE Festival? Does anyone know any buzz on anything good? Does anyone care?
I can name two shows you absolutely HAVE to see right now, and both of them have threads on this main page.
I would encourage everyone to see some shows at the fringe festival - skip Wicked for the 279th time.
There is more creativity and originality during the festivals two and a half weeks than there has been on Broadway for the last ten years.

well personally, there are a few that really caught my eye, and by few i mean more than 10.
in alphabetical order.
Day the world went queer, The. Because frankly, I've been waiting for a while for a show exactly liek this one. the premise sounds hilarious.
Extra Virgin. I'm a sucker for gay internet drama.
F*CKing Ibsen takes Time. I'm a sucker for Ibsen
Last two minutes of the complete works of henrik ibsen. Again, sucker for ibsen. Both ****ing ibsen and last two minutes sound amazing.
Magnificent Hour, The. Who doesn't love audience participation and of course senseless violence?
Match Me. People slowing going crazy in front me sounds like fun.
Mayor that would be Sondheim, The. How can you say no to that title?
Miss Education of Jenna Bush, The. What can i say, I hate bush, and this sounds funny.
RatFace Another interesting story that (afrom things I've seen) hasn't been told before.
Seduction... Come on, the description says "contains male nudity."
Silence! the Musical I love Silence of the lambs, i love musicals, it's win win.
Swimming Upstream Who doesn't love sex comedy?
You again,a mussical about cloning. One of those unique, original ideas that beg to be seen.
there were a few others that looks interesting but i had tolimit myself as seeing too many shows easily gets expensive.

sounds like a blast.
Hi, there. Totally new to NYC and loving it. Caught a few shows at the Midtown International Theatre Festival over the weekend. Liked The Girls Who Wore Black alot. LOVED Apathy. This is the kind of theatre I LOVE.
When does the Fringe start? The Day The World Went Queer sounds like a hoot!

Fringe NYC
Hey New2NYC. The festival begins August 12. Each show has a RADICALLY different performance schedule so, with a lot of planning, you should be able to see a huge variety of shows (and of course, I must shill mine above all others!).
Go to fringenyc.org for show information and ticketing info as well. Tickets go on sale Saturday the 30th.
