It was an adlib? They must've made it a permanent line in the show, then. He said it when I saw it.
Yesyes, when I saw it with DJ Tifa, Burke started laughing when he was singing and dressing Nathan, and Nathan, as helpful as he is, said, "Watch the nipples!!!!"
Sorry, I saw this show quite a few times and Lane ALWAYS said this line -- they are actors and it's their job to make it seem fresh and new when they say it in front of the audience on any given night -- however, Lane is also known for his 'under the breath' remarks to other actors which may have made Moses laugh.
There were some really funny throwaway lines in this show too. And Bart made them come alive, whereas Kattan just seemed petulant and adolescent. So glad Roger was able to get on board.

That's what I figured, SamIAm, because he said it when I saw it, and adlibs aren't usually said each night.
Roger Bart is my secret lover.
The oddest change I saw was late in the run. In "I Want To Travel", Dionysus sings to Xanthias "You'd better or I'll turn you into something very strange." More than halfway through, the line had been re-written and was completely different (and of course I can't remember what it was, having only heard it once).
There was also late addition of Dionysus' line to Xanthias: "Maybe you'll get a lovely set of steak knives!" when the latter won Charon's quiz.

I wish the libretto was available. *sigh* The book may have been a little weak, but it was funny.
