All I've got is this stupid Best Actor award I took from Alec Guinesses estate. Want it?

It sounds like something that the Tony committee would not allow, marketing a fake award.

Priceless... Sorry, I had to say that. It probably wasn't as funny on here as it was in my head. Damn...

I am sure that there are many on this board that would say you should call Marissa and see if her "fake" one is for sale.

PEACE.

Don't they make chocolate Tonys, covered in gold foil?

And if not, why not?

Hahaha... good one. Because you mean Melissa Errico should have won, right? That was clever.

But really. With Harvey Fierstein this year, the Tony voters made it clear that you may as well have a fake one. He didn't give half the performance of either Antonio Banderas or Brian Stokes Mitchell.

jsargent - Even though I disagree with your Harvey Fierstein evaluation, here's one thing to consider. He created a role. He created his character. He didn't re-create anything. I personally don't like awards that put people up against one another. However, I really don't think a role reprisal is worthy of the same merit as that of an original character creation. Lastly, I enjoyed all three of them, Harvey Fierstein, Brian "Stokes" Mitchell and Antonio Banderas; all great, all very different, two role reprisals, one role creation.

Actually, jsargent, I don't know what you mean about La Errico! :)

Is she a well-known chocaholic?

We had this conversation on the old board. The Tony is a trademarked item owned by the League of Producers et al and they would take a DIM VIEW of any breach of this even an amatuer one. How about the Sarah Siddons award ( yes I KNOW Chicago has one now) Just make sure it references "All About Eve" and that should side step the problems nicely

you could always make a mold of it and make it really be chocolate! and then just put gold foil and you're done! and you still have chocolate re: : re: Fake Tony award
