I'm at NYU now, some alum that haven't been mentioned yet are: Jimmy Smagula, Jenn Gambatese, Matt Morrison(only went 2 years though), Leah Horowitz, Debra Messing (Grad. Acting), Felicity Huffman, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Kirk McDonald, Steve Rosen, and more. Some students in my studio recently had to leave because they were cast in the National Tours of Rent, Cats, and Mamma Mia, so hopefully they will make names for themselves!
Carson Kressley (though not a Bway star, he is well known from Queer Eye) graduated from my college - Gettysburg College. He came to speak last year and is hilarious. He should have his own one-man show.
"If you start from a place of joy and charm, you can get away with a lot in the second act. It may be that that's my life. I'm not sure."
~Roger Bart
Some of the old guard: Charleton Heston Ann-Margret Cloris Leachman Charlotte Rae Paul Lynde
When I was there: Gregg Edelman Julia Louis-Dreyfus Richard Kind Michael Greif Jayne Atkinson (I directed Michael and Jayne in a play) Brad Hall Gary Kroeger John McGlinn Laura Innes Kristine Nielsen Angelina Reaux Thomas Aulino Susan Plaksin Keith Reddin Rob Knepper
Well, Missouri State University (formerly Southwest Missouri State University) has John Goodman as an alum.
I also believe that Kathleen Turner attended there, but did not graduate there, transferring to another school I believe. It was kind of fun, she returned one year and a couple of students (male) were making a presentation to her and began to sing "Wild Thing" which she promptly rolled her eyes and then joined in.
