Famous stock productions of GREASE

The ST. Louis Muni did a production of GREASE in the late 80's; with Jack Wagner as Danny, Beth Leavel as Rizzo, and Danny Burstein as a Burger Palace Boy!

Kenley Players did the first stock production of Grease in 1977 with Barry Williams(BRADY BUNCH) as Danny, Roz Kelley (Happy Days) as Rizzo, and Marilyn Michaels (FUNNY GIRL) as Sandy. Several years later; Kenley presented GREASE with Gary Sandy (WKRP) as Danny and Lorna Luft as Sandy; with Barry Williams as Knickie.

THETRE OF THE STARS in Atlanta hired Rex Smith as Danny in the mid-90's and earlier cast Christopher Atkins (BLUE LAGOON) as Danny for a summer tour.

MUSIC FAIRS employed John Bauman (Bowzer in the group SHA NA NA) as Danny and Danilelle Brisebois (ALL IN THE FAMILY and in the original cast of ANNIE) as Sandy.

I'm sure there are numerous other examples. All of these "star" packages used an expanded orchestration by Michael Dansicker (TIMES THEY ARE A-CHANGIN').
