I was coming along to say I actually really don't like the term Fanadu and I much prefer Xanfans, 'cos it's still got a kick to it.
The fan boys can be called the Xanadudes and the fan girls can be called the Xanadudettes. Cool, huh?
But now I actually agree with this. XD

You have to consider what it says to the rest of the theatre world. I was dragging my feet to go see Rent because I was so turned off by "RENTheads"
Also, it makes it sound like the fans want to tag-along and share in the success and glory of the show as if they've been working just as hard as the cast and creative team and deserve just as much credit. It's creepy.
