Depending on how I'm feeling, it's either the '98 revival's Finale, or the Emcee's Willkommen ad-libs.

My favorite moment in the 1998 revival of "Cabaret" was when Sally sang "Maybe This Time." It was an absolutely brilliant moment and brilliant staging of the scene....

My friend and I got Standing Room only tickets for the Saturday matinee - this was the day before it swept the 1998 Tonys. So, we were in the back of the theatre and Alan Cumming entered from the back with the standing microphone in his hand. It was done so simply.........Natasha was saying her lines and Alan walked down through the house and around the cocktail tables, walked up on stage, placed the microphone in front of her, all all of a sudden, she was taken out of the scene...performing, on stage at The Kit Kat Club. When she was finished, Alan came back up on stage and walked off with the microphone, and she was back in the scene. BRILLIANT!!!!!

Even though that was 8 years ago, I remember it so clearly...as if it just happened.

My dad likes 'I Don't Care Much' best. So do I. :)
