Favorite Romantic Broadway Song

I have alot that are out there, but I really love listening to Love is my Legs(just because they sing it like a romantic song and it's so hilarious!) and As Long as You're Mine(Norbert Leo Butz and Idina Menzel sing this so beautifully together, I just love it!!

My two favorites are "If I Loved You" (Carousel) and "All I Ask of You" (Phantom).

But they both have to be done WELL, or forget it.

I'm partial to "If Ever I Would Leave You" from Camelot. Also like "Song on the Sand" from La Cage Aux Folles, "With You" from Pippin and while it's more of a seduction than a romance, "Music of the Night" from POTO. I completely agree with Best12bars, though. If it isn't sung well, don't sing it at all.

I'm such a sucker for "All I Ask of You". How can you not listen to it and want your very own Raul, honestly?

I also think "Small Umbrella in the Rain" from Little Women is really cute.

One more..."Take Me As I Am" from Jekyll and Hyde. So gorgeous if you have the right voices.

SHE WASN'T YOU, the greatest ballad ever written for a Broadway musical---it puts pygmies like NEW MUSIC and crappy junk like LITTLE WOMEN in the shade.
