PICK ONLY ONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I pick Sunday in the Park with George -- no other show so perfectly says what art is about and why it is important.
Company or ITW (tied for me)

I'll second the pick of Sunday in the Park With George. For all its flaws and weirdness, I adore it. I'm not even sure I'd feel the same way if it weren't for Bernadette Peters' indescribably wonderful performance on the OBC. But she is there, and I adore her and the music she and the rest of the cast sing. And Sunday is the best damn Act I closer I know of. Updated On: 10/22/04 at 12:33 AM

Sweeney Todd - way out in front of several other near-masterpieces.

I almost chose Sweeney, but had to go with SITPWG because of the theme...even though Sweeney has the most amazing music and lyrics and book.

Assassins. I just saw the Tisch performance of Sweeny and it has altered my view of the show forever...
Another vote for Sunday in the Park with George
Sunday In The Park With George is my favourite Sondheim musical, too. Such a beautiful show. It still hits a nerve.

Sweeney Todd.
It was close between that, Follies and A Little Night Music.

FOLLIES, hands down. The rest are excellent (PACIFIC OVERTURES is really close to favourite), but FOLLIES will always be quintessential Sondhiem for me.

I'd have to see Into The Woods because it was my first Sondheim show.
For me it has to be PASSION. It's absolutely breathtaking.
Easily, "Sunday In The Park."
It was between Sweeny or Assassins but the latter moved me more so I will have to pick
Into The Woods.
