This is difficult because while I'm watching or listening to FOLLIES, SWEENEY TODD, PACIFIC OVERTURS and COMPANY I'm convinced each of those is his best.

If I were locked in a room and not allowed to leave until I picked just one, I guess it would be A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC.

Having been in the National Tour of Sunday in the Park, I'd have to go with that (though I've done Sweeney also and its a blast to perform) Sunday always resonates so deeply with me - I couldn't get through a single performance without crying. Children and Art is one of my favorite numbers of all time.

"I don't really get the ending, all i can go with is when after several months,Judith saw Pat sang, and later she kissed him on the toilet, after that the story back to where Pat went down from the stage after he'd sung, and he went to the italian lady.I just don't get it,what Judith exatcly meant when he kissed Pat that she had seen, and did Pat end up together with The Italian Lady? Please help me,thank u very much!" Quote from someone on IMDB in reference to a movie he/she didn't understand. Such grammar!

If you are going to FORCE me to pick only one: SITPWG. But there are SO many others.

Oh, A Little Night Music, for all those sentimental reasons. Because it was my first (*blushes*), because it's smart and sad and oh so very lovely. Because it gave me everything I needed when I was most desperately in need. Because nothing becomes me more than bittersweet.

Sweeney Todd

Q:What advice do you have for aspiring Broadway stars who are terminally shy? I love your work, because you seem so bold. How do you do it? A:"I think I take more chances on stage then I do in real life but you can't learn anything if you don't challenge yourself. And don't say "terminally". If you love to perform then you have no choice, just keep training and focus on the words or the music whenever you find yourself slipping back inside yourself. You're not doing anyone any favors if you withhold your talents from the world"- Idina Menzel
