Yeah, I've never done the whole "stage door thing" so this isn't technically stage door but...
After the show it was raining reeeally hard so I was sort of hanging around the lobby area of the Zipper.
I'm just leaning against the wall sort of absently I guess, not paying much attention. I hear footsteps coming pretty fast and then come to a really sudden stop and then I hear "Woah, hi there"
It was Rodney Hicks.
He went on to say "Wow, sorry, it's just...you totally look like you're in a commercial or an add or something right now"
I was like "oh..hah, thank you. Great show!" and we talked about the show for a while, and how he assumed I lived in town but no, sadly. We talked about how he went to Juliard and he told me to email him and I said how I really wanted to go to school in New York blah blah blah and it was a really nice chat.
Then Robert Cuccioli came by, clearly in a hurry to leave, but Rodney made him come over and meet me and we shook hands and it was fun.
Not to mention I had been eating at the same restaurant as Natascia Diaz right before the show.
It was kind of exciting- Rodney practically ordered me to email him, and he was really nice as was Robert.
Good cast.

I actually just saw DRS and Piazza this weekend and went to the stage door for both. I met Katie Clarke, Aaron Lazar and Victoria Clark and they were all fantastic. Katie is so adorable and genuinely sweet and Victoria is very encouraging and my friend and I talked to her for about 10 minutes and she was great! Aaron was pretty funny and chill. At DRS I met Greg Jbara (he was awesome, sucha a nice guy) Lucille Arnaz and Jonathan Pryce and they were all great!! I had such a great experience with both shows!

Nice picture.
*steps up to the plate* My first stage dooring experience is always a memorable one (Scarlet Pimpernel, Minskoff Theater, my birthday in 1999, just turned 15 (22 now)). But B&B, as usual is my "second home" and needs some representation on here! =)
I'll be as brief as possible, I swear.
~ The day Peter [Flynn, former Lumiere] agreed to let me do his website a week after I asked him. He could have gone in the back, gotten one of "Babette's hands," and knocked me over easily. Walked away dazed and proud as I had been told before that I was "crazy for asking" and "he'd never say yes." Started me on my way for wanting to make Web design my career. Narrowing down, any experience at the door and elsewhere with this man is my favorite, my "big brother" and "the boss." LOL Forever in his debt.
~ The day he gave me my pictures that I asked for for my Lumiere and Babette site. Before any friendship, I had written to him and Pam Klinger, Babette at the time, and asked if they'd take pictures for the site, not expecting anything of course. Hell, actors are busy people, but if you don't ask, you'll regret it. My dad mailed the letter, and I heard nothing for a while. Went back to give him and Brooke [Tansley] Christmas cards about three weeks after, and Peter goes "Oh, I have your pictures!" Didn't know what he meant at first but then he took out my letter and said "Isn't this you?" Again, wanted to just pass out right there. They weren't developed yet, but I got them a few days after Christmas, best present EVER that year. They are now gracing his site. =)
~ On that note, after he had emailed me that he was leaving, he sent his new headshot for the site as well as "some pictures for you and the 'other' site. Enjoy!" I had been bugging him for new "character" pictures of him and Meredith [Inglesby, Babette] forever, and he pulled through. One is now at the site, the other is my icon here. =)
~ Short and sweet, my 21st birthday, cold or not (I'm a Feb baby) it was quite a night at the door! =)
~ First time I met Brooke. She had signed my site's guestbook, so I brought the entry with me to thank her. "OmG you're the Haven??" It was a beautiful thing. =)
~ Peter's last show on May 7th, what a party outside despite the depressed mood I was in! =)
~ Lately in recent times, major shout to Jeanne [Lehman, Mrs. Potts] and Meredith. I love those women and can never wait to see and chat after the show! It doesn't feel like a B&B visit without seeing "Potts & Babs." If you go, see them and say Faith sent you, LOL. =)
Every visit is an awesome one, but those were the best I can pull out of the memory banks.
My last time at Threepenny Opera. I had sent Ana Gasteyer and Alan Cumming letters and pictures to sign. Ana was the first actor out of the door and she began talking to people and signing things. She finally got to my side and signed 2 of the peoples playbills next to me. She came to me, I said "Hi" and she said "I got your picture!" Ok just the fact that she remembered me from the picture freaked me out, but then she actually told me! That was probably one of the greatest moments ever since I am a HUGE Ana fan. Alan on the other hand didn't say anything, which is what I expected because he probably gets a billion things everyday. But I still love him!
When I was in high school, my best friend and I went to see Annie for our 16th birthdays. Sarah Jessica Parker was Annie at the time. After the show we waited for autographs and got a backstage tour by Sarah, who also let us see her dressing room. I have a picture of the two of us from that day.

Threepenny Opera--last show
Got to see Jim Dale's son surprise dad at the stage door. He was dressed in a costume (think foam hair and cape outfit) and was holding a camcorder. Jim didn't recognize him at first, noticed the outfit. You could tell he was completely happy and surprised. Both did that quick "I'm so happy, it's been so long" type of hug. Everyone fan around stage door did the "ahhh" sound. Very nice.
