Posted: 12/9/04 at 10:16pmI miss the breezeway in that office building between 47th and 48th Streets. You used to be able to walk all the way from 44th to 49th. But they had to go and wreck everything.

Hey, anyone know why they put in those godawful potted plants by the MTV store? How annoying is that?

Posted: 12/9/04 at 10:23pmI love using Shubert Ally, the Minskoff Theatre Tunnel, and that Mariott Marquis Tunnel (with the Broadway pictures on the wall). The Minskoff Theatre Tunnel is very convienet if you're staying at the Marquis hotel.

Given I frequent the Nederlander, my favorite cut-through is the McDonald's on 42nd. I usually need to get to 42nd St. at some point, and cutting through is so much easier.
Also do the Marriot Marquis, Minskoff route on occassion to avoid Bway traffic.

Posted: 12/10/04 at 1:36pmin the right turn lane, toward oncoming traffic. it's the only way to get anywhere in that area while staying on Broadway. the trick is to get so close to the cars that the tourists won't dare flood into your path to pose for photos or browse crappy merchandise.
