Minskoff tunnel

ALthough I like walking through all the tourists because it lets me enjoy the naked cowboy and the bands...

I miss the breezeway in that office building between 47th and 48th Streets. You used to be able to walk all the way from 44th to 49th. But they had to go and wreck everything.

Melanie Griffith's choreography in Chicago. It shaved at least 15 minutes off the show.

Oh...and I forgot about the Marriott shortcut. These come in so handy when Times Square is unbearable.

Oh, I'm fond of the Marriot shortcut.

Hey, anyone know why they put in those godawful potted plants by the MTV store? How annoying is that?

I love using Shubert Ally, the Minskoff Theatre Tunnel, and that Mariott Marquis Tunnel (with the Broadway pictures on the wall). The Minskoff Theatre Tunnel is very convienet if you're staying at the Marquis hotel.

Shubert Alley is the center or the universe, but before and after shows it's too crowded with fascinating people to use as a shortcut!

Given I frequent the Nederlander, my favorite cut-through is the McDonald's on 42nd. I usually need to get to 42nd St. at some point, and cutting through is so much easier.

Also do the Marriot Marquis, Minskoff route on occassion to avoid Bway traffic.

in the right turn lane, toward oncoming traffic. it's the only way to get anywhere in that area while staying on Broadway. the trick is to get so close to the cars that the tourists won't dare flood into your path to pose for photos or browse crappy merchandise.
