Take me back to Manhattan from Anything Goes is a favorite

"New York, New York" (so it's not from a musical, but it's one of my all time favorite songs)
Actually, it depends on the one you're talking about. If you're talking about the old Comden and Green song, then that's from On the Town. If, however, you're talking about the much more recent Kander and Ebb song, it is from a musical -- a movie musical.
Some of my favorites, in addition to those two:
From the theatre:
"Manhattan" (the wonderful old Rodgers and Hart song from Garrick Gaieties)
"Give My Regards to Broadway" (a song so famous it it better known than the two Broadway shows in which it appeared -- Little Johnny Jones and George M!)
"I Happen to Like New York" (from The New Yorkers)
"42nd Street"
"Broadway Baby"
Some that aren't theatre songs:
"New York City" (although it appeared in Lennon)
"New York State of Mind"
"On Broadway"

"Another Hundred People"
A great choice and a favorite of mine as well, although it does sometimes seem that since then, Sondheim defaults to writing "Another Hundred People" again and again.

'Just Arrived' -from Barry Manilows London production of 'Cocacbana'
Not to mention a song he used to do in his concerts a lot -- see the "Barry Manilow Live" album: "New York City Rhythm."

"Another Hundred People" - Company
"West End Avenue" - The Magic Show
"There is Life Outside Your Apartment" - Avenue Q
"God, I Love This Town" - Bounce
"Broadway Baby" - Follies
"Lullabye of Broadway" - 42nd Street
Songs that aren't showtunes:
"New York, New York"
"New York State of Mind"
"Wander in the Summer Wind" - Dan Zanes
Actually, 'Take Me Back to Manhattan' is from a 1930 show, THE NEW YORKERS, which pre-dates ANYTHING GOES by 4 years (and also features the song 'I Happen To Like New York'). Along with several other Porter songs, 'Take Me Back to Manhattan' was interpolated into the 1962 Off-Broadway production and appears on that recording.
In roundabout sorta way, it's "Jazz Corner of the World/Birdland". It's on a Quincy Jones collab CD from the early/mid 90's.
Not a showtune but..."Fairy Tale of New York" by The Pogues. Also love The Pogues' "Thousands Are Sailing". It's not all about NYC but there's a great verse about Times Square.

All of these are excellent choices.
Did anyone say "New York State of Mind" by Billy Joel?
NYC from Annie.
