Had a discussion with my roommate today regarding the consistently "empty" nature of several Broadway spaces, and it got me thinking. Regardless of why some of these spaces aren't immediately grabbed by incoming productions (location, size of audience or backstage, etc), which of the commonly cited empty/fast turnover theatres (Cort, Belasco, Longacre, Lyceum, etc) is your favorite and why?
I'm going to have to say the Cort - it is such a charming theatre, and while the location definitely hinders it, I find the "away from Times Square" factor helpful when seeing a non NYC set production there, such as Bright Star. The marble work in the lobby is stunning.
