Hey everyone! I'm kind of confused about how seating at Feinstein's/54 Below works and was wondering if you all could provide me with some insight! I'll be seeing Jeremy Jordan this Friday for a 7pm show, with a "6:30pm reservation" according to the confirmation email. I know that doors open at 5pm though, and that also anyone is able to make a dinner reservation there even if they don't have tickets to a show. So would I also be allowed in at 5pm when doors open? If so, how would the seating work if there are people who are just there for dinner but not the show? And would it be the case that if I arrive earlier, I'll be placed at a 'better' table than people who arrive after me? (My tickets are for the Main Dining Room). Thanks in advance!

The number of people who go there for just dinner and don't stay to see the show are few and far between. If you're not having dinner -- there's no need to get there 2 hours early. 30-45 minutes is plenty early. If you're alone they'll probably seat you at a 4-top with others (since the shows will sell out).If you're not having dinner you'll just be sitting there for over 2 hours until the show starts.

Thanks for the response! Should've clarified that I will be going with one other person and we do plan on eating dinner there. So 5pm would be a good time to arrive?

You CAN, but that still seems really early.

If you're looking to get a better table by getting there early, there is quite a difference between the closest main dining room tables and the farthest. They won't ask you where you want to sit, but if while you are being seated you ask if you could move to a closer table there's a fair chance that they would go along.
