And why not?
He practically trips over himself with enthusiasm for it, and is SO hoping it takes best score (even if he nit-picks, but he does so lovingly)
I do think there is nobody better writing about musical theater than Peter Filichia. Certainly there is nobody more passionate.

Posted: 5/20/05 at 12:07pmCute article, and I agree with a lot of it. The lyrics of that score definitely get too cute for their own good, but Yazbek really knows how to write memorable hooks. And I wish Filichia had mentioned two of my favorite tracks- the power-pop parody "Love is My Legs," which managed to be just ridiculous enough to get laughs but not so much that we wondered how anyone would fall for it- and "Love Sneaks In," which was probably helped a lot by Lithgow's wonderful and sincere delivery.
