Final Brel Performance

Just returned from the last performance

In attendence was Bob's girlfriend Leila Robbins . She was sitting in the same row as us but on the end. We briefly spoke at intermission & she was very friendly. We told her how much we enjoyed her in Heartbreak & she was very appreciative of the comment. She is now doing some sort of independent film

The cast ( the original 2 remaining & the additions) were superb. Cuccioli was mugging constantly & ad libbing. At one point, after having a bottle in his mouth, he was walking around like Fire Marshall Bill (Jim Carrey character from In Living Color). Gay Marshall was great . Constantine was a revelation. I liked him better than the original Rodney . Jane Paterson was very good also but we preferred Natascha

It was a bit of a surprise in that there was no final speeches. They took their bows & ran off stage.Mrs R noticed a camera atop the balcony. She would love a video of the show but doubt a recording of it would not have been made public already

A shame the show closed but it had a healthy run. A new brel review of other Brel songs would be great

Thank you so much for sharing! I've really loved this production and was very sad that I wasn't able to be at the final performance.
