I loved that article too, kayb. Especially the point that TV is no longer about anything to seriously discuss.

I agree, Namo.

Several of us had a big discussion about the merits of Angels here a couple of weeks ago, and I won't repeat POVs. I found the review itself interesting, stating that the film version isn't perfect, and that the 2nd half in particular has some dead/whiff of pretensions air ... but that the piece as a whole is a rarity on tv: something extraordinarily stimulating you can actually talk about. You know ... those silly old things that don't pull ratings: Ideas.

I want to see the Kushner play about Laura Bush, but I think there was only a reading done a few months ago with no follow-up.
