As a country music/musical theatre fan, this is really awesome news.

Posted: 4/9/09 at 12:01amSpeaking of County Musicals I was watching the biography channel and they were highlighting Dolly. She mentioned that she was working on a musical about her own life. 9 to 5 was mentioned but I don't know how long ago this was filmed. But if 9 to 5 is the hit we all think it is I wouldn't be surprised if Dolly's bio-musical was able to secure some investors that will want to ride on 9 to 5's proverbial coattails.

Posted: 4/9/09 at 5:39pmPure Country has disaster written all over it. Like 'Ring of Fire.' Peter Masterson 'co-directed' Best Little Whorehouse in Texas, but without Tommy Tune, it would have died in workshops. Sean Curran is a fine choreographer in the dance world, but he's no Tommy Tune. He's not even Chris Gatelli.

Posted: 4/9/09 at 5:41pmI didn't mean that to sound like an attack on Chris Gatelli. He's just choreographed more shows on broadway than anyone else in the last two years, so I was using him as an example of someone who'd be good and available.
