Thoughts?
Looks adorable, espeically Olaf! I'm excited and I wonder where the new song will fit in.
This revisited stories are a challenge in terms of where and how to create the original suspense, employing the same obstacles. In FROZEN's case, the ending promised characters at peace with the use of Elsa's powers; her ability to chill (!) was under control, manageable, and valuable. Now it seems as if they can wreak havoc once again. Yes, it's understood that being able to freeze things is a capricious skill. But anything that undermines the original's satisfying conclusion could be off-kilter. This post will likely enrage die-hard fans awaiting more, but I remember when a Christmas BEAUTY AND THE BEAST short was made, and it more or less filled in a piece of the past without much real drama. Once the Beast was a man again, looking anew at his beastly behavior was like looking at a Macy's window.

I agree. Her powers were under control at the end of the movie, but not having the ability to control the powers seems to be the conflict in this short as well.

Sounds like Elsa's powers become unstable when she's ill?
And did she create a colorful summer dress with her powers there? *squint*
I would've assumed any continuation of the story would've been built on the positive use of Elsa's dormant powers, not unbidden crises and resulting chaos again. Maybe that proves true. But a situation with another character in peril, requiring Elsa to rescue or just set in order something valuable and in jeopardy seems more consistent.
I can't believe I'm contributing to this thread, not once but twice. What the hell, it's a snow day in the east, appropriately.

I believe Els--errr, Menzel returns to the East Coast today, so it should clear up soon! Ish?
Olaf looks adorable at the portrait one! Can't wait!
Sort of disappointing that the best plot they could come up with was a rehash of the movie. Elsa loses control of her powers and endangers everyone again? Didn't we already see this story?

It's like 7 minutes long. I wouldn't expect anything ground-breaking in that amount of time.
I like how everyone is plotting out the entire short and harshly judging it for being a rehash of the movie way before it's plot has remotely been revealed.

^^Hey, not everyone's judging!
But I don't want to buy a ticket to Cinderella to see this. :/ And I have no idea how Disney intends to package this for distribution later. Hopefully not on only a Cinderella disc.
