Hey, I am trying to find a Broadway/Musical song about saying sorry for, well, I guess sorry that this guy roofied me into cheating on you and spread pics of me cheating on you to the entire school and more and you found out but didn't know that I was roofied but we figured out who did it and I feel bad that you had to go through that.
It didn't happen to me Im just writing a screenplay and it is turning into an even more dramatic episode of Glee... I am thinking about using Words Fail but that song is kinda not working bc it is about a lie he told I guess (havn't seen the show yet but plan to soon), but it is kind of the same vibe im going for. Also I would rather the song match the style of words fail like a more modern ugly cry song.
I realise that this is probably way to specific but I am sure there is a perfect song for this.
Thanks <3

Most good songs written for a musical are going to be closely attuned to the plot of the show, and therefore unlikely to fit your very specific scenario. One exception that is both superb and rather general is “Please Let Me Tell You” from THE MOST HAPPY FELLA. It’s not a “modern” song but I think it has a pretty timeless sound.
