How disappointing. I'd rather be able to physically pick it up for that price. I'd rather pay $12.99 and have the packaging.

Since I never saw of heard that much of the show, what are the best songs that I should buy there? I don't want the whole albumn.

Yes, you do. It's one of the most beautiful scores out there and this cast sings it fantastically.

Buying a handful of songs separately would probably cost you more than $5, since this seems to be a special deal, so you might as well just buy the album. You won't regret it.

Actually, the main score is just 11 songs (and not a dud among them) but the whole albums is well worth getting, esp as you and DL it for $5.

The booklet is excellent: Full cast listing, an essay about the show by John Lahr, a detailed synopsis and all lyrics plus a handful of (smallish) color pics. Another classy job for PSC.

Cast albums are NOT "soundtracks."
Live theatre does not use a "soundtrack." If it did, it wouldn't be live theatre!

I host a weekly one-hour radio program featuring cast album selections as well as songs by cabaret, jazz and theatre artists. The program, FRONT ROW CENTRE is heard Sundays 9 to 10 am and also Saturdays from 8 to 9 am (eastern times) on www.proudfm.com

It is an amazing recording. The cast all sound wonderful and who can resist Old Devil Moon?

Special props to Teri White for her rousing rendition of Necessity.

This recording was really, really well done. Even better than the LCT revival of SOUTH PACIFIC, which I didn't expect. The sound quality, the engineering and the inclusion of songs/bits not found in the 1947 recording were all pleasant surprises.

Then I should imagine you own several copies?

Or are you an example of the Uneducated saying a great many foolish things?
