Posted: 6/14/08 at 12:01amAHHH, that's exciting!!! My choir sings at Candlelight every year so I'm hoping we get one of those days (as well as Chita's and Abigail's). But where oh where is Rita Moreno? She narrates every year!

So excited for this!
I'll be going pretty much every time someone new is narrating, since I work for WDW.

Awesome !!!! We have been going to the "CP" for the last 8-10 years. Its AMAZING !!! They always have a "Broadway Contingent"-Best we have seen was Phylicia Rashad (who appears on the CD of the show) -
Saw O'Hurley last year (as well as Neil Patrick Harris-(he was great !!!)
Got to see Heather Headley a few years back.
There are usually some last minute changes, so Moreno still a possibility (she is so good!)
Dont think I have ever been so excited about a reader before---
We are going from 11/27- 12/5, so will just catch Stokes, who we met during his "MOLM" run, and became kind of friendly with.
An amazing man !!!

"Best we have seen was Phylicia Rashad"
I absolutely agree with that statement. Out of the 5 narrators I've seen, Rashad was leaps and bounds better than any of them (and the CD is a permanent fixture in my player during the holidays).

Candlelight is one of my favorite events to perform at! I look forward to it every year! My choir usually performs around 4 nights as an honor choir. We always get the Saturday of Thanksgiving weekend and Christmas Day (the most prestigious day to perform *crosses fingers for this year*)
I was just thinking about Gary too. Hmm...Two or three years ago he had John Stamos fill in for him on Christmas Day (which was not a bad alternative!)
It's really cool to hear fellow BWWers go to see Candlelight! =]

Thanks! It's actually from the Magic Kingdom. It was taken in the Character Connection (or whatever they call it now- the name seems to change every time I go) room in Mickey's Toontown. Chip and Dale at Garden Grille (a FUN meal!!) are typically wearing aprons and chef's hats (how sad is it that I know this??).

Le Cellier= BEST MEAL ON PROPERTY!

For sure. The best time to go is EARLY December. All the decorations and events are taking place, but the crowds have not arrived yet. Early December is one of the least busy times of the year to visit- it's when I go for my Christmas visit. The crowds descend en masse the three days or so before Christmas, and stay through New Year's- definitely a time I would AVOID going.

Cool !!! Yep, we went there years ago, and just remembered that that "SMashed Potatoes- (as they called them), were amazing !!!
We usually go to "Crystal Palace" for Thanksgiving dinner, but even my 7:02AM phone call 180 days out, could not get us a table before 8:30PM - (and no way that Keona will wait that long for her dinner !!)
So, we figured we would avoid the "MK" Thanksgiving crowd anyway, and go to the "Garden Grill"-
Ended up making ressies for "Crystal Palace" for the night of the Xmas Party - (12/2)

Totally agree about "Le Cellier"- we were told once that it is actually one of the highest rated restaurants in the state.
Give me the Pretzel bread, and that soup, and I am good !!!
Will try and catch "Off Kilter" around that time too !!

The Monday following Thankgiving weekend (and that entire week) is incredible !! 50% less crowds, and the weather is perfect !!
Looking really forward to "Toy Story Mania" as well--- We just missed it this last trip Memorial Weekend.

Testing1232...again, thanks for your post! I've never gotten the chance to be present at one of these Candlelight processions, even though I have been to Disney at Christmastime, but I hear they are awesome!
Perhaps this year I will try to make it, since they also have some really good names in tow for the readers :)
