Saw it on Wednesday, and the sound was horrible. The orchestra is overpowering the actors, due to what seemed to be the mics not being loud enough. The lyrics got swallowed up whole.
Has anyone else noticed this?

Posted: 6/18/06 at 9:38pmI saw it about a month ago and it was fine, and I'm seeing it again on Saturday, so I hope it is okay then.

There's absolutely no excuse for bad sound...especially with a show that's been playing in the same house for a year and a half. Perhaps Acme Sound Partners, the show's sound designer, needs to pop in and have a listen to what the board operator have done to muck things up.

Posted: 6/18/06 at 9:48pmI actually sat in the show in bewilderment about how I couldn't hear any lyrics (which I know by heart). Greg Jbara was the most effected, followed closely by Jon Pryce. Rachel York and Lucie Arnaz were fine. Jason Gillman was right in the middle.

Here are the Acme Sound Partners. They have a website with a "contact us" page and they might appreciate you letting them know.
