I saw this last night.
There is no plot - it's just a revue of a whole bunch of broadway songs from mostly current shows that they rip apart - it's absolutely side splittingly hysterical at points. Other times, it's okay. But when it's funny, it's f-ing brilliant. These were some highlights for me:
"It Sucks to me Me," sung by Brooke Shields, Tom Hewitt, Stephen Schwartz, and a Japanese Tourist.
"Defying Chenoweth"
"Unworthy of your Words" - Squeaky and Hinckley (?) from ASSASSINS
The woman playing Bernadette Peters is PHENOMINAL...she's exactly like her. She also plays Judy Garland and that is what really made me loose it. They also have Carol Channing at last years' Tonys and I about peed.

Yes, MEF, the Edie Falco skit was WONDERFUL. It was so funny, I wish I could remember all the lines. The woman that played Brenda/Bernadette/Judy Garland is BRILLIANT. I love how in the beginning when the woman is dramatically describing a traumatic broadway experience she's holding a BROOKLYN playbill.
One line I remember from Edie Falco:
Edie: I'm going to kill myself!
Brenda: The New York Times already has...
the CD usually has a little dialogue. Are they recording it?

Posted: 2/27/05 at 5:13pmUm...the two women, Megan Lewis and Jennifer Simard. It's so amusing. When Elphaba "flies," the monkeys carry out a crate for her to stand on, a fan, then stand there and shake her cape back and forth. It's so great.

(Megan Lewis- Is great as Carol and Idina. Simard plays Bernadette to perfection.
Also it is not IT SUCKS TO BE ME. IT IS IT SUCKS TO BE YOU.
It is a must see.

Posted: 2/28/05 at 12:36pmCorine, is Megan Lewis still doing Sutton Foster (as Millie) and Sarah Brightman? I thought she was hysterical in those roles as well! And the notes she hit as Brightman, my God, that girl has a range!

Yes she is. But her Brightman is not as good as Pedi.
Her Idina is outstanding as is her Carol Channing.
She is a very talented performer.
