Hi guys,
I saw FB yesterday afternoon. It was nice to see Mominator in the audience as well as Gerard Alessandrini and Philip George.
Just wanted to say the newest skits in FB are hilarious!
There is a new Drowsy Chaperone piece that had me gasping for air.(As We Stumble Along with Beth Leavel and Bob Martin)
My favorites though are:
Light in The Piazza
Jersey Boys
Spamalot
It made my day.
I love Forbidden Broadway.

Forbidden Broadway is amazing.
I have this whole theory that the cast should host the Tony Awards. It would be amazing.
Looks like we need to pay a visit again
Hopefully, most of the new stuff will be recorded. I can not wait to see the Drowsy piece as it was in need of getting the FB treatment
I think FB would be perfect for the Tonys.
They could do a skit on each show before each number.
That would be marvelous.
You never know.
PS The Mary Poppins number was cute also!

Great idea
It would give the Tonys a shot in the arm as would having it again in a real theater & not the cavernous Radio City. Why not the Hellinger ?
I'd love to see the Tonys at Carnegie Hall. It is a beautiful theater.
Is there a COLOR PURPLE skit?
Architecturally it is not the greatest but it does have history
Okay, in the just posted review of Les Mis it says, "But if you’re like me the most intriguing aspect of the Broadway return of Les Miserables is the inevitable batch of new parodies Gerard Alessandrini will be inspired to write for Forbidden Broadway. Perhaps a bit about how Cosette’s dad is some slacker rock musician Fantine hooked up with in the East Village…"
Now THAT would be amazing.
Oh that's too bad.
Is there a Jay Johnson skit? Perhaps "The Two and Only Audience Members?"
I am surprised there is no skit from Martin Short.
My favorite would be to the tune of big black ladies stop the show and have:
Felicia P Fields and Jenkins doing a duet.
Or even better: Carol Woods, Felicia P Fields, and Jenkins doing a song. Hell, YES.

But CoCo, what you don't understand is that Martin Short's show IS Forbidden Broadway. So why how could they parody it?
True! My favorite part of Martin Short is Marc Shaiman.
They could parody Marc Shaiman in that blonde wig and showing butt crack.
HA HA.
PS I have seen Martin Short show 4 times now.

I was wondering if anyone could tell me a bit about the Light in the Piazza parody? I love that show, and I don't have the time lately to see FB again.
Make the time. You will laugh your ass off.
Nothing does it for me like FB.
The best show ever!
if i had known there was so much new material, we would have seen it earlier this week. next time!
My favorite would be to the tune of big black ladies stop the show and have:
Felicia P Fields and Jenkins doing a duet.
Well, that would involve hiring black actors for FORBIDDEN BROADWAY. I guess that's why there's no spoof on COLOR PURPLE.
I think that is correct.
Or maybe Gerard doesn't want to mess with Oprah.
does anyone know if I can find lyrics to skits that aren't on the CDs?

I'm suprised theres not a wedding singer spoof, being that it was as big a success as it should have been..also the 80s factor is one that could easily be spoofed. Ahh I love FB!
