has anyone seen this show? I saw it and i think the performers were amazing! they could imitate everyone perfectly (one of my favs was the guy imitiating harvey fierstein (spelling?). i thought one performer megan lewis had an amazing voice, she could belt the defying gravity so well!
Yea, now that Jen Simmard is gone, Megan Lewis is the STAR!!!
I loved Megan and Jen. And the boys too, of course. They were all so talented, plus so sweet and friendly signing Playbills for the fifteen or so of us that waited for them.
When did you see the show, YankeesFan? I haven't seen it since they added the new parodies, the Piazza one, the Charity one, etc. Hopefully I'll be able to see it when I'm in NYC next week.
I hear the La Cage skit is hysterical! HYSTERICAL!!!
I LOVE SVU! The Piazza, Christina A., and Assassins spoofs are HILARIOUS! Megan Lewis is very talented. Her Cherry Jones impression had me laughing so hard I almost pissed my pants!
I'd love to hear an Elphaba end Defying Gravity like Megan.

I saw it a couple weeks ago, the Piazza one is hysterical! The Sweet CHarity one is great, theres one about Phantom, 2 awesome ones about the lion king. the la cage one went over my head, but now that i look back, it is really funny. if youve heard the CD, a lot of the second act (after the wicked song) is different. I think its better now than how it was. broadwaybetty, i LOVED the cherry jones inpression "another broadway show and people still dont know who the hell i am" LMAO!
lamentingenvelope, bottom line is if you go see this, it will be a highlight of the trip. (when i went to NYC, i went with my dad and we had tickets for mamma mia that night (it was sunday). we decided to go see this show caleld Forbidden Broadway i had read about. my dad, who is note easily impressed, laughed the whole way through and rated it a 10, it was his favorite, even over mamma mia, rent, and wicked. ok, im done rambling now.
Just saw it on the 30th. In the cast now, Ron Bohmer,Jason Mills, Megan Lewis and Jeanne Montano. It is the first time I've seen the show in the new space. (I will miss the Fairbanks) Gotta Get a Puppet, Defying Chenoweth are still great but a new fav is the Spamalot spoof!

Check out the interview with Megan Lewis.
Oh gad, hahaha. That pic of Megan as Christina on the interview page just cracked me up. I saw SVU in February but I'd love to go again and see all the new parodies, especially the Charity one.

I saw it for the first time on Saturday. I've always wanted to go but figured now was a good time since I've seen most of the shows they spoof. I thought it was great. Some of the rotuines I was unfamilar with but for the most part it was very funny and they are all very talented. Since they spoof Rocky Horro I was surprised they didn't tie that into Tim Curry playing in Spamalot, kind of like they did with Harvey(in Hairspray attire) in Fiddler. Thought they could do Dr Frankenfurter playing King Arthur or something.
The Charity one is a scream. and who knows a Dr F. as King Arthur could still be in the works.
I saw it last Christmas and so the Piazza, DRS, Charity etc wasn't in it. Dang!
How much is new & how much is old stuff likt POTO & Les Miz ?
There isn't a DRS spoof. Yet. I'd say half old and half new. Annie, Sarah Brightman, Lion King, Phantom, Ethel Merman, Millie, Chicago, and "let's ruin Times Square again" are all still there probably plus a few more that I can't remember. But damn, the new ones had me howling!
I think they have finally retired Les Miz. (sadly) POTO is still in, no DRS yet.La Lunatic still funny but no more buck teeth. BATB still in as is Lion King. What do you think they will dowith Lennon?

its a great show with great performers. I love It! especially beauty and the beast and phantom.
Unfortunately, I've only heard the CD...but I absolutely loved "It Sucks to Be Us" (with "brooke shields", "tom hewitt", "stephen schwartz" singing to the tune of It Sucks to be Me from Avenue Q) That and the Assassins song had me laughing out loud.
And you're right, Meg does sound scarily like Idina!
