"Forbidden Broadway SVU" CD - ITS OFFICIAL!!!

IT'S OFFICIAL!!! From Playbill.com.....

DRG Records will record the newest version of Forbidden Broadway later this week. The cast of "Forbidden Broadway: Special Victim's Unit" will head into the recording studio Feb. 10; the CD is set to hit stores April 26. The company of the Gerard Alessandrini revue features Ron Bohmer, Jason Mills, Christine Pedi and Jennifer Simard with David Caldwell at the piano.

It looks like Christine Pedi will in fact be on the CD, even though she left the show a few weeks ago.... I am beyond excited!!!!!!

"SVU" is hilarious!!! The best version of the show I have seen yet! I can't wait for the CD to be released! APRIL... HURRY UP AND GET HERE! Lol...

Speaking of Forbidden Broadway. I had to see Phantom of the Opera for business tonight and i have not seen the show in 12 years. I almost lost it. When i saw it 12 years ago I fell asleep but when i saw it today I started cracking up because all i could think of was COVER UP MY MUCUS OF THE NIGHT.
LOL.
The music is beautiful and the talent in the show is great, but Gerard is all i could think about. LOL.

Have you seen the men in POTO.
I have never seen so many gorgeous men with gorgeous voices.
If only the story was better.
Gerard is my savior. The designs in FB are so creative. I love his work.
My favorites:
The elephant costume with towels (kills me) for one of the Lion King numbers with the swinging trunk. LOL.

I thought Gerard was horrible in the movie...but that's me....

PAtrick was pretty good, Emmy was so-so...

Minnie was my favorite - and she didn't even sing....

I hate the music though...meh!

How'd this get turned into a Phantom thread??? LOL...

I just talked to one of my contacts at "Forbidden Broadway", and it turns out they will be using ALL FIVE of the cast members on the recording... meaning Christine Pedi AND Megan Lewis will both be on it, along with Jen Simard, Jason Mills and Ron Bohmer.

It is the SVU edition. Which has become one of my favorite editions. Well, because of the Q numbers.

BSoBW2 - the current cast of "SVU" is Jennifer Simard, Ron Bohmer, Jason Mills and Megan Lewis. The "official" original cast had Christine Pedi, but she was out for a while with no voice and Megan filled in. Since then, Christine finished her run in it and Megan is now in the role. However, the recording will feature all 5 of them! This is great because Christine Pedi is brilliant as Liza, Stritch, Merman and so many others, but Megan has some killer pipes and makes a great Idina!!!
