i can't wait for this...sounds fun
But does Christine do Dame Edna?
It would seem not. And I saw the show last month and it was a *little* different to that track listing. Tracks 11, 14 and 16 were certainly not performed the night I went.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.
That really sucks.
I thought it was being recorded. IT SUCKS TO BE ME.
They should do a special recording of Christine's Dame Edna, her P Lupone and Liza.
She is famous for Liza but her Edna is the best Edna I have ever heard. She really sounds like Dame Edna.
I am sad.

The show changes from time to time. This is the first entirely-new Forbidden Broadway Soundtrack since 2001 (FB 20th Anniversary was partially old stuff), so they're probably getting in some of the tracks from Summer Shock last year as well as some of the 20th anniversary stuff that wasn't on the CD.
I don't remember if I've seen the Patti number, but I know the Julie Andrews PBS number was in it during December. And "No Leading Lady" was performed during 20th anniversary. It's a song where someone announces Nathan Lane is sick and will be replaced by Brad Oscar, and then two "audience members" complain that the stars never show.

Right. I have seen the No Leading Lady number. I saw the show during the weekend of the musician strike back in 2003 and that number opened the show. The Millie number was in the show at that point too and is still in the show now, though it has been extended.
And riv, get over yourself.
“La Cage Aw ful”....lol!

I noticed that, too. I had no idea it was called "Wickeder" rather than "Defying Chenoweth".
Well, they mock Popular too -
No Phantom satire?
Boooooo.
Unfortunately, no...because it is already recorded
Ohhh, there's already a recording out?

Much to my surprise, it seems Christine Pedi won't be doing her Stritch/Dame Edna number on the CD. I talked to her the day before they went into the recording studio, and she said they were doing it... so I'm not sure what happened.
As far as the numbers that are not in the show currently... I'm not totally sure. "No Leading Lady Tonight" was written for the opening to the "20th Anniversary Celebration". The "Mamma Mi-diocre" number was JUST added to the show in the last 2 weeks.
Too bad they didn't record the "Tovah in Golda's Balcony" number... that was in the show when I saw it, and it was hilarious!!!
but WHEN does it come out??? By now, I've heard May 5th, April 30th and April 15th...which???
I'm going crazy here!

I can't wait! I need to hear these songs.
One day, maybe when FB closes (whenever that may be) they need to record every song ever done in FB...

Despite numerous rumors that have been floating around, the official release date from DRG's website, and my many sources with the "Forbidden" company, the release date is April 26th.
