i just got back from seeing the touring production of this show and i still raving about it. it was so so so so funny! i really loved it when they made fun of shows i had be in. (regional theatre-nothing professional yet). the entire cast was great, but eric gutman was by far the best. if you are a fan of musical theatre, you have to go see this show!

I love "Forbidden Broadway"!!! Take a trip to NYC and see the current show.... it's amazing! Everyone who sees the tour says is great though... I wish it'd come back to my state!

You need to see Special Victims Unit.

I actually also just saw the touring production of it a couple days ago but didn't enjoy it as much as Summer Shock in NY. If I am right, it was the SVU edition because it had the Brooke Sheilds/Dracula/Stephen Schwartz "It Sucks to Be Me" but it didn't have the new Harvey skit I have heard about. Eric Gutman was the highlight of the show with the Les Mis, Phantom, and Man of La Mancha skits. I thought "Defying Chenoweth" was horrible in this production but amazing with Valerie Fagan and Jennifer Simard in Summer Shock. "Revive Me" was fine, it seems pretty hard to mess that song up. The puppets song was OK, the guy who wore the Avenue Q shirt had weird facial expressions. The Boy From Oz/Liza + Judy thing was good, better in NY. The New "It Sucks to Be Me" thing was funny. The Sarah Brightman thing was OK. "Beauty's Been Decreased" was very funny, but I was listening to the lyrics, and they should be updated or something because those events are so long ago and probably not many people remember it and especially the Floridians at this performance didn't understand it. "Can you Feel the Pain Tonight" was good and so was the Rocky Horror thing.
I can't remember much more of the show.
I give it a B+

musical medea...did you see it on 12/29/04 at 7:30 at the Rinker Playhouse? From reading the date of your review, it is very possible we were at the same performance.
