What are your favorite Forbidden Broadway numbers?

I love all Christine Pedi's Liza-scenes. She's amazing 'Liza'!!

Also Danny Gurwin's Stephen Sondheim number in 2001 Spoof Odyssey is hilarious.

The Les Miz Medleys are essential

I love the Les Miz ones. "Rich people pay big bucks to buy a shirt with an orphan on the front." Or something like that.

I also like Aida, the stuff about Heather Headley.

Tough call. I love every edition but SVU is my favorite.
1. I call it Defying Chenoweth- I think it is one of the funniest numbers ever written.
2. You got to get a puppet
3. It Sucks to be you
4. Let's Ruin Times Square again
4. I am My Own Wife
5. 10 years more- Le Miz
I love it all.
re: Forbidden Broadway favorites
I have seen every edition except 2001.
Over the last 22 years I have seen Forbidden Broadway 48 times.
It really is my favorite show of all time. I think Jen Simard was my favorite performer of all time.
Jen will be missed.

I loved it back when Barbara Walsh and Roxie Lucas were the female leads.

Defying Chenoweth is pretty awesome, as is the Les Miz Medley: "At the end of the show you're another year older." Into the Words also comes to mind.

"If there was a Mount Rushmore for Broadway scores, "West Side Story" would be front and center. It snaps, it crackles it pops! It surges with a roar, its energy and sheer life undiminished by the years" - NYPost reviewer Elisabeth Vincentelli

I love the new edition... all the parodies are great... my favorites include "Defying Chenoweth", "Das Mel Brooks Song", "Mamma Mi-diocre", "Welcome to the Tonys" and "Bernadette Peters in Gypsy".

From older versions I love "Being Lupone", "Liza One Note", "Scream Girls", "Grim Hotel", "Never Never Panned", "I'm Entertainment", "Julie the Star", "Patti Class", the "Ragtime" segment, and SOOOO many more. God I love this show!!!

Has anyone seen it in like the past 2 weeks? Is Jen Simard gone yet? How is her replacement? Ron Bohmer is leaving soon too I've heard...

Jen is gone. ;-(
Her replacement is not funny. She has a great voice though.
PS: I saw Montano in her first week. Give her time to get into FB. Jen had a lot of practice.
I just think Jen had Chenoweth down. Updated On: 5/14/05 at 12:13 PM

"Defying Chenoweth" and "Bernadette Peters in Gypsy" have me laughing pretty hard every time I hear them. The whole SVU CD's great though.

I've always loved "Chita/Rita"

Also, the Les Miz and Disney spoofs.

And Elaine Stritch.

I haven't seen SVU, but from the CD I really like Defying Chenoweth, You Gotta Get a Puppet, and the Bernadette Peters/Gypsy number.

I may be the only one who didn't find Wickeder laugh out loud, hilarious. I thought it was OK, but nothing special.

Jen was great in it though.

I love It Sucks to Be You, 'night Mother, and all the Les Mis stuff (Ten Years More, Thank Heaven, Les Mis medley.)

I love all the Rent spoofs!
Also, Wickeder and basically all of SVU. I only have SVU and strikes back.

And the other thing about the Phantom Lady was, Bert, she realized, in the city that never sleeps... What did she realize, Kitten? That all the songs she'd listened to, all the love songs, that they were only songs. What's wrong with that? Nothing, if you don't believe in them. But she did, you see. She believed in enchanted evenings, and she believed that a small cloud passed overhead and cried down on a flower bed, and she even believed there was breakfast to be had... Where? On Pluto. The mysterious, icy wastes of Pluto.

You can buy it at the theater autographed.
I did and it is signed by Gerard, Ron and the cute guy.
It was presigned.
I don't care about that stuff but you guys might.
Tomorrow is the last FB at the Fairbanks. SIGH.
I will be seeing Chenoweth at Encores.
Personally though the Chita/Rita will always be a favorite.
Gina, does the best Pati Lupone of all. Her Liza is up there with Christine. Her Pati is really outstanding.
I wish Gina was a permanent fixture in the show.
She is faboo! Updated On: 5/14/05 at 09:52 PM

Wondering what they can possibly do with Spamalot.
Laughed so hard when I saw it but listening to it today I began thinking that it seems that there is nothing left to do with it.
