Don't know how many of you frequent the BW West End board. But since there's a Broadway connection, I thought I'd post this here.
An inquiry was made about Glenn Carter, last seen as Jesus in the shor-lived Broadway revival. Seems he has ressurected himself into a whole new life. (if this link doesn't work, find it on the Glenn Carter post at BW.com West End).
"He dampened their foreheads and gave them a mild electric shock" Yikes!!
If anyone ever tells you that you put too much Parmesan cheese on your pasta, stop talking to them. You don't need that kind of negativity in your life.
As the Max Von Sydow character says in HANNAH AND HER SISTERS, "...If Jesus came back today and saw everything being done in his name, he'd never stop throwing up..." Amen.
"I'm a comedian, but in my spare time, things bother me." Garry Shandling
Hmm I feel sorry for him, the aliens who talked to me told me the aliens who talked to them were just pranksters laughing there butts off. Now The aliens who told me the truth are the ones we should follow! They told me humans were actually robots built by them too tend to the planet Earth which they say is the holiest planet in the universe. One day they will come back to strike their vengeance on those robots who have been destroying it!!!
My avatar is a reminder to myself. I need lots of reminders...
ummm...interesting?? strange?? What an odd little man he is. I thought he looked a little crazed in the poster which I hid in the closet because it scared me too much. And I didn't like him in JCS at all. Judas on the other hand...sexy and talented :cD
Hmm...maybe there's something about playing the role of Jesus for 8 performances a week.....
Jeff Fenholt, who played Jesus in the original Broadway production of JCSS (the one directed by Tom O'Horgan) lives here on Long Island. He has become a Born-Again Christian and performs Christian Rock only in Christian environments. He's also gained a tremendous amount of weight--nowadays it would take more than three nails to keep Mr. Fenholt attached to any cross!
Call me crazy..but the whole time I watched him "attempt" Jesus, I thought he was high. His Jesus was "weak". He was "strange" to say the least after the show. He gave me the creeps. On the other hand, Tony Vincent( Judas) and Kevin Gray( Pilate) were very pumped and gave impressive performances...for a production that I didn't really like. Many were really disappointed that Danny Zolli was not offered the role. I can tell you they broke the clone- mold with this fiesty fellow!
