Can this song be considered an "uptempo" song if played a little faster?

I think it is an uptempo the way it's written.

"Freddy My Love" is a triplet ballad in slow 4, and the triplets prohibit much speeding-up. Contrast with "Magic Changes," which is a moderate 4, but can be speeded up into something of an up-tempo because it has "straight 8's" rather than the classic ballad triplets. ("Freddy My Love" was always my favorite song from the show, especially as Marty was original characterized, as the slightly pretentious "older" sophisticate).
