To answer some suspicions from my previous posts, I don't work for any broadway affiliated organization who is doing research using this forum. I am simply a composer with a new musical which had a stage reading last year at the Theater555 in NYC. Since I saw that the community in this forum is very savvy with all things Broadway, I decided to explore and learn from the distinguish members here.
I am open answering any questions about myself and my new musical. I thought it would be productive to once again tap into this resource. First, I have to tell all of you that I am at the stage that I need to find some front money investors. This is because my musical was accepted into a festival, and I had to decline the invitation because of the lack of funds. I spent all of my own money doing the stage reading. And I recently submitted my application for a residency where I will be responsible to fund approximately 17 performances if I am accepted.
My hope is that some of you will read this post and give me advice on who to approach and how to approach them. I will appreciate all that respond to my post. Thank you all in anticipation of your generous advice.
