Just looked on Amazon as I want to buy the revival cast recording of The Music Man (2000) but it seems unavailable.
Is it out of print?

Did they sell out, after producing too few and not forseeing its popularity? From what I've read online the show was quite popular.
Seems uncommon for a relatively recent production to have sold out of recordings...?

Posted: 2/11/06 at 7:34amI don't know for sure, but I believe that the label that issued the recording, Q. Records, was acquired by another label, and the title was deleted in the process. However, you don't have to pay through the nose to get a copy: Half.com has used copies for as little as $15.

hope that link works. DRG has taken over distribution and are selling it for $13.98.
go to www.drgrecords.com and do a search for MUSIC MAN.
Cast albums are NOT "soundtracks."
Live theatre does not use a "soundtrack." If it did, it wouldn't be live theatre!
