I saw both. and i was so disapointed in Fuerzabruta.
DLG had a journey,..it was a rush of adrenaline..it was beautiful, spiritual..and a great non verbal story of birth, life and death. Fuerzabruta was cheap stunts one after another. when you have so many of these kinds of cirque type shows nowadays...Fuerzabruta felt like it doesn't know what it wants to be.
i also heard the creators of the original show broke up. so it's just one creator now. The other went off to do other work,..including Tarzan.
i was so bummed....i left the theater missing De La Guarda.
anyone else saw the two and feel the same way?
I didn't go see Fuerzabruta because everyone I talked with said exactly what you just said. De La Guarda was fun. Everyone seems to see Fuerzagruta is just a big mess.

I didn't see De La Guarda but I had a good time at Fuerzabruta. Although being surrounded by all that water made me rush to the men's room before it was over.
I think De La Guarda was superior, but Fuerzabruta is still fun. I agree that DLG did a better job tying everything together, but I don't know that the actual "stunts" were any more cheap in Fuerzabruta... just less cohesive. There are still some stunning moments in that show, and with the rush ticket price, I'll take it over a lot of what is on Broadway right now.
