Greetings! I'm going to be in NYC from the December 27th to January the 3rd and I'd like to see if I can snag a discounted ticket to Fun Home. I've read quite a bit about TKTS and I see that Fun Home is frequently on the live feed, but I've never used TKTS before and I haven't been able to find answers to some of my more specific questions. If some one from the BWW community could lend me a helping hand I would be very grateful!
1) I've read a ton about when you should arrive to the TKTS booth, but I would imagine that during Christmas season things get pretty crazy. About how early should one get to the TKTS booth during this time of the year?
2) Is snagging a Fun Home ticket from TKTS a reasonable possibility?
3) Are there any other outlets to buy discounted Fun Home tickets beside the lottery and TKTS?
Thanks in advance for all your help, and I'm sorry to have ruined this message board with my obnoxious touristy questions!!

I'd imagine normal discount options are blacked out during those dates with the holiday. It will really come down to availability. Look online, see if there are many/any seats for the dates you want. If there are a bunch, it may show up on TKTS. Since it is a small theater, I'd fear there will be no seats moreso than wondering how to get discounted ones.
That said, if they do sell out, you can get SRO cheap, if you're OK with standing for 100 minutes.

haterobics,
I'm absolutely comfortable with doing standing room. I just did not know this was an option. I'll do a google search and find out how to buy standing room tickets. Since it's Christmas season I'm assuming there is a reasonable possibility that the show is sold out.

They just sell them day-of at the box office when they open. Only concern is whether people may queue up early for that or not. Again, since you're here during holidaymania, anything you read on here from a month ago will likely have no impact on your experience. But if the show is sold out, they will sell SRO at 10 a.m. when the box office opens. The issue is when will people start showing up to queue for those tickets... Good luck.
