In my high school's production of The Little Mermaid, Sebastian is supposed to take off Chef Louis' pants during Les Poissons. Well, instead of just taking off his pants, our Sebastian took off his underwear as well (on opening night, I might add). Luckily, he had on a long shirt so he was covered in the front but the orchestra got a nice view of his behind.
It was absolutely mortifying and we still joke about how "Flotsam and Jetsam" got their time in the spotlight.

In 1970 London, I saw Carol Channing in "Carol Channing and Her Ten Stout-Hearted Men". While singing "Hello, Dolly", she flubbed the lyrics and stopped the orchestra. She joked that of ALL the songs she was singing, THIS was the one she messed up. We laughed.
When she sang "Diamonds Are a Girl's Best Friend," she tossed cheap plastic fake diamond rings into the audience. One landed right in my lap. I still have it.
