I know that a few years back that had a revival (with Deborah Gibson as Fanny) planned a few years back but it closed out of town. And then the multi-Fanny Actor's Fund benefit show (wish I lived in New York to have seen it). But does anyone know if they're planning to revive it in the near future? If they do, I think the perfect Fanny would be Toni Colette. I saw her singing in CONNIE AND CARLA (where they sing "Parade") and I think she would do an amazing job. She's got the unconventional beauty that a Fanny Brice is supposed to have.

Any thoughts from anyone else?

Don't get me wrong, I love Toni Colette, and she did an awesome "Parade" in "Connie & Carla"- but she's too old for the part now.

I also this think this part needs an unknown who can blow people's socks off- it will take lots of guts to follow Streisand's footsteps, and a famous star can fall flat on her stomach. That's why it's never been revived and to be honest, I don't think it will be in the near future.

I hear that Hairspray's, Leslie Kritzer did a fantastic job when Papermill did it a few years ago.

Caroline O'Connor would make a brilliant Fanny. She has the voice, the acting skills, comedy and dancing etc. Also, she has exactly the right look.

Sutton Foster should do it

Ways to annoy people: Arrive at a meeting late, say you're sorry, but you didn't have time for lunch, and you're going to be nibbling during the meeting. Then eat raw potatoes. Ask people what gender they are,or Disagree strongly with everything anybody says:)

Sutton Foster is too conventionaly pretty for this part. Can you really sing "If a Girl Isn't Pretty" about her?
I do agree she has what it takes in the vocal department, though.
