Future Phyllis and Sally's

So... I'm sorry if this should have gone on a previous thread...

I know they haven't even cast the KC production but I think Follies should be like Gypsy and start having revivals with big name stars churned out every 5 or 10 tears. It's got me wondering what young performers would you like to see tackle these roles once they come of age or another revival comes along?

I think Martha Plimpton would be a divine Phyllis. I'd also like to see what Sutton Foster (i know she's not your typical Phyllis), Alice Ripley and Sherie Rene Scott would do with the role. But my number one future Phyllis is Laura Benanti. Vocally she's more of a Sally but she has both the striking beauty and withering with a glance wit to hit the ball out of the park.

Christine Knoll could give Sally a fair shake. If Kristin Chenoweth continues to add some edge and grit to her bag of tricks I think she could be marvelous. I think Marin Mazzie,

That said I think Debra Monk, Faith Prince, Megan Mullally, Jan Maxwell, and Jane Krakowski all have the combination of talent, classic beauty, and comedy chops to rock out in any of the smaller roles.

What do you think anyone I'm missing that seems like a Follies type actor? Or are there any parts in other shows you would like to see someone in down the road?

Megan Mulally and Jane Krakowski are too young for either of the roles, but those ideas would be...fantasmagorical
