I usually am sick to death of over-advertising. They don't need to shove it down our throats. I feel this way about NBC's MERCY. *but* every time I see a GLEE promo, I always get this "I can't freaking wait!" feeling inside. They do a great job in building up the hype and excitement. Let's just hope the show lives up to it. I think it will, but I've been disappointed before...
"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."
