JAY Records will take the Lincoln Center Theater troupers of THE GLORIOUS ONES into a studio Jan. 8, 2008, to record the cast album of the new Lynn Ahrens-Stephen Flaherty musical.
JAY producer John Yap told Playbill.com he's aiming for a summer 2008 release for the disc, which will record two days after the show ends its Off-Broadway engagement. Yap has a long history of preserving the lyrics of Ahrens and the music of Flaherty on cast albums: LCT's DESSA ROSE and A MAN OF NO IMPORTANCE, York Theatre Company's LUCKY STIFF, London's ONCE ON THIS ISLAND, as well as the Chicago production of Flaherty's LOVING REPEATING.
Two songs from THE GLORIOUS ONES have already made their way into concerts and cabarets: "Opposite You" and "I Was Here."

Great- i just saw this last Saturday. I dont know if i would post a Report.. but I love the cast... and the songs are fantastic !!!
Though Summer is a very looooooong to wait for me

I love that song.. the last song - I am sure that will be a popular song .
My favorites are:
1. The Comedy of love
2. Rise and Fall- very very memorable
3. Absalom- bec. I think Jeremy Webb has an awesome voice!
4. My body Wasn't Why- I almost cry when I saw Natalie sing this number.
What is that song that goes.. hah hah hah.. just humming- i love that too!

BTW- Natalie kissed me in the cheeks in the show at the beggining bec. I was sitting at Row R -my seat was on the aisle- when she entered from the audience door.. she made eye contact with me ...touch my face and came to kiss me.. I was so embarrassed..
When they sing the song and the audience was a part of the show..(The Glorious Ones Reprise)

This is GREAT news - I just saw this on Saturday and was hoping a cast album would happen. The cast was amazing and I got kissed on the cheek by Natalie Venetia Belcon to boot!
