I remember meeting Szot ever-so-briefly at the first preview performance and was stunner-stunned by his stunningness. Both in the role and as a man on the street. What is it about hot foreign baritones?
Fantastic profile piece on him... shines a beautiful light on the different worlds of opera versus musical theatre, and what a prize-gem this actor is to the LCT production. And still keeps Szot kind of a mystery.
Szot is the only opera singer I have heard of who started out as a dancer. No wonder he looks so good.
