Hi everyone! I just got cast as Jan in my senior production of Grease. I can't find any info on the script or songs or show or anything online. I was wondering if someone could help me out? Thanks! Appreciate it!
I'm going to help you by giving you some great advice. Quit the show! Don't waste your talents on a piece of garbage like grease.

Garbage or not...I like to perform and this is the last chance I'll get.. so I'm sticking with it

Check your PM, Rainbow.
don't sweat it rainbow....ignore the sondheim guy...yes, grease isn't a masterwork, but alot more people will pay to see it than sweeney todd (my personal fave) and that's why you do the theatre--to entertain the people who ponied up the dough for the ticket! Enjoy!
Jan: Hey! Where do you get shoes like that?!

nothing on grease online? Try GREASE LYRICS... and you'll get a script and work on it in school anyway, right?
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH NEVER EVER call grease a piece of garbage ever! It's a great musical that appeals to everyone. No musical's a piece of garbage
"No musical's a piece of garbage"
If you beleive that, then I've got some March 3rd DRACULA tickets to sell you.
I would take them but I dont live in NY thx for the offer though :)
If you buy the original film soundtrack, both 'Mooning' and 'Prom Night are on there. Also, I recently got the complete vocal score for GREASE from my local library
(DRACULA closes Jan 2)
Okay, here's the deal, if there's a way that you can get me down to NY without me having to pay for it (I'm poor)and before it closes Then I will go see it. Anyway, I'll admit, some musicals have down spots but calling any one of them a piece of garbage is a little harsh no?

not at all harsh. some shows ARE garabage. literally AND figuratively.
Whether a show is garbage or not, I agree with Rainbow--performing is performing no matter what. Sometimes, you have to do crap stuff to get to do better stuff. I have plenty of those experiences. I was in Grease once, and I still think that Mooning is the best song. I got stunk with that stinking It's Raining On Prom Night...
I would have loved to be one of the men who came up with this piece of garbage called "Grease"
I would have mad ca$h and bling-blinging and living the life right now
littlefish:
its raining on prom night...
your hair is a MESS
its running all over your tafetta dress...
its wilting
the quilting
on your maidenform
and mascara flows right down your NOSE
because of the storm
you dont even have your corsage, oh gee!
it fell down the sewer, with your sister's ID...
(i hope i didnt bring back bad memories)
:: sends hugs if i did ::
congratulations! and have fun! i was a bass-singing eugene in that show once. and i got to dance with cha cha!
Grease isn't garbage. It's tons of fun, ALWAYS successful, and has been a worldwide hit for nearly 30 years. Wish I could write "garbage" like that. Both the Broadway production and the film had record runs during their day. Even revivals, both Broadway and London have been hits.
