From what information we've been given so far about Groundhog Day, this is apples and oranges. I like Matilda and Tim Minchin quite a bit, but it's material that is very different from Hamilton.
I have to agree with what other posters have said before--I don't think there's a need to compare every show and make things a contest. I think Hamilton is outstanding. I also feel that way about SITPWG and ACL. But I don't think I can, or moreover, need to compare them. They're such different beasts. What makes them enjoyable and special to me is the unique emotions and reactions they cause for me.

I can understanding comparing shows in the same season when they are literally competing for Tony Awards and (sometimes) audience. But this seems like an odd comparison given they are opening like 2 years apart?
