What show do you LOVE that you know is no damn good.
My show is BEST LITTLE WHOREHOUSE GOES PUBLIC. The score is a hoot. I'm still kicking myself for choosing to see Diana Rigg in MEDEA instead of WHOREHOUSE. I was in high culture mood. But after reading the script and hearing the score, I know I made the made the biggest theatrical mistake of my life.
What is your show?

"Love" is probably a little strong. But the musical that I know all the words to and still consider terrible and saccharine and contributing to the demise of musical theatre:
Wicked.
One that I own the OBC of, but don't listen to religiously:
Zanna, Don't!
Musicals that have songs I enjoy (despite words exchanged with Marc Shaiman on one of these very message boards):
Hairspray
Footloose
But I should tell you that a search for this topic came up with:

I'm surprised no CARRIE fans have chimmed in.

Probably because they all already chimed in on the twelve or so other threads on this topic.
EDIT: Wow, I was right, it's actually exactly twelve!
Thanks, Shortydudette, It is indeed a popular topic. I'll check out those threads. Moving on, anyone else interested in sharing on this topic is cordially and respectfully invited to post on this thread.

Closer to Heaven. EEK.
I don't know CLOSER TO HEAVEN? Who wrote it? What is it about?
Lennon, although I couldn't see myself liking it that much if not for the cast.
I don't consider CARRIE a guilty pleasure. The score, IMO, is gorgeous and underrated, and Betty Buckley has never sounded better. It's such a shame the score was never (legally) recorded.
My guilty pleasure is the GREASE cast recording with Rosie O'Donnell.
OMG Melissa Errico Fan that's one of mine too! Billy Porter is amazing and I actually was a huge Rosie fan back in the day when she had her show.
Cheers,
C.

You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown. Even though most of the songs are filler and I skip a couple of them, the ones that I do listen to I rather like.
P.S. Agreed with Wicked and Footloose!

Yes, Carrie isn't a guilty pleasure. Just a pleasure.

I really wouldn't call AMOUR a guilty pleasure either. The score is intoxicatingly beautiful.
