Richard Jay-Alexander, who helmed this past summer's acclaimed Les Misérables in Concert at the Hollywood Bowl, will also direct the classic Frank Loesser musical Guys and Dolls in summer 2009 at the California venue.
Jay-Alexander told Playbill.com that Tony Award winner Donna McKechnie will choreograph Guys and Dolls in Concert, which will play the Bowl July 31-Aug. 2, 2009. Kevin Stites will be the musical director.
No casting has been revealed, although an announcement will be made by the end of January 2009.

Posted: 12/24/08 at 2:12pmThat's how I felt when cast for the revival was announced, hopefully Jay-Alexander will be able to assemble an all-star cast...given his casting for LES MIZ, it won't happen.

Surprising. I guess that since McKechnie is choreographing makes it a little more interesting...

Posted: 12/24/08 at 2:39pmThe BWW heading is misleading. I clicked on it to find out who the "Star-Studded" cast was. I hate Guys and Dolls and have no interested in this, but I would like to see who's in the cast.
