I remember feeling so bad for Peters who was obviously in over her head vocally . And I remember feeling the production was pedestrian and misguided.
I loved everything about the 2003 revival except Bernadette.
Watching her body contort to reach notes that she can't (and didn't) belt, hearing her scratch her way through the lyrics and Betty-Boop her way through the dialogue, and seeing her strained eyes stare straight out during every song as though not another soul was onstage with her, was one of the most uncomfortable theatrical experiences I've ever endured.
BUT, John Dossett, the three stippers, and especially Tammy Blanchard were all fantastic.

well, i think its sweet that Bernadette has such loyal fans.
I am a fan. She was just wrong for this. Period.
Hey Kids
Anyone have a HQ (or even just "good) video capture of Bernadette's performance of Rose's Turn on the Tonys.
There's this one which is of poor quality:

And there's this one of v. good quality, but for some reason the uploader decided to cut if off as soon as the song ended. It feels so "clipped" without the rapturous standing O that followed.

Thank you!
BERNADETTE WAS ROBBED.
(JewFace if someone has a better quality version you get elsewhere can you also PM me about it too :P? We seem to share similar tastes).
