It's out in the theatre in a few days. It's clearly not going to match LuPone's vocal performance. However, it looks like she will take it in interesting places. Can't say I've heard a "Rose's Turn" quite like that one. It's almost the antithesis of Bernadette's performance.

When my goodbye post was removed: “but I had a great dramatic finish!!!!”

She sounds like a good traditional Rose. I, for one, am glad she doesn't have the vocals of LuPone. There are times when I feel as if LuPone is screaming the score, and her diction is frequently lacking; however, she was quite fiery in the role.

Are we not allowed to buy this album in the US?

I don't like her voice. And I wish the cd cover had her on it... like most Gypsy cast recordings.

I saw Gypsy last week. Her performance is quite stunning - certainly one of the best performances I have seen in about 40 years of theatre going.
