Just announced on the T2C website that Gabriel Barre is the new director.
I hate to see dumb, but I wasn't aware of an upcoming Tale of Two Cities musical. I had heard a while ago that there were a few in development, but then never again.
Could you tell me who wrote this one? Or where the website is I could find info from?
Sorry if I should know this stuff...
It's written by Jill Santoriello (sister of Alex Santoriello) Here's the website.
A Tale of Two Cities
I have seen a few of Gabriel's workshops/readings and have always enjoyed what he's done with the work. He's got a creative flair and doesn't always play it safe..
Thanks for the info Craig.
Ok I am coming clean. I do have a bit of a connection to this show. It might not benefit me at all though. I just realy want to see this show succeed and would love to help make it more successful if I can.
Now don't you feel better?
Yes, but being Catholic I feel I must do musical penance.... What should I do? Listen to a cast recording, sing a song, do a monologue, any suggestions?
Well if the point of pennance is to suffer in order to absolve you sins, you must put on a pair of tights and sing along to the entire cast album of CATS while dancing around your livingroom! Now get started, Mister.
Things to add to my to do list today...
1. Find a pair of tights.
2. Warm-Up my voice and stretch.
3. Since I am in the dorm, go to the Newman Center and use the living room there to dance to Cats.
4. Take a cold shower and block the memory of the previous three things on my list.

This is the first I've ever heard about a Tale of Two Cities musical....how exciting!! I've often thought lately that I would love to see a new epic film version of this book. It's so dramatic---it has love, action, mystery, everything! Awesome characters, great scenes, a beautiful plot with a wonderful ending. I can definately see its stage potentional......I can't wait to hear more about it!!
